Since our establishment in 2017, we have been passionately serving the community of Chatham-Kent and Cambridge, Ontario, by providing much-needed pain management services. At Intervention Pain Clinics, we are dedicated to patient-centered care, striving to enhance the quality of life for our patients and their families. We partner with our patients, utilizing evidence-based medical practices and considering individual resources to ensure the best outcomes. Our team of highly qualified and compassionate health professionals is committed to addressing chronic pain, a frequently overlooked issue in the healthcare system.
We believe in continuous professional development and education for our staff, which translates into positive outcomes for our patients. Despite resource limitations, we have adopted modern image-guided technologies, including ultrasound and fluoroscopy, to better serve our community. With locations in Chatham and Cambridge, Ontario, we offer a range of traditional interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks, joint injections, and epidural steroid injections, as well as advanced treatments like radiofrequency ablation, platelet-rich plasma injections, and viscosupplements injections for osteoarthritis.
We stay at the forefront of advancements in interventional pain medicine, now offering platelet-rich plasma injections in the disc of the lumbar spine and facet joints. Dr. Imran Ibrahim is a Consultant Intervention Pain Physician and Executive Director of Intervention Pain Clinics. Dr. Ibrahim is well known for his compassion for treating chronic pain and improving the quality of life of his patients. Dr. Ibrahim has wealth of experience in multiple specialties including Emergency medicine, Family medicine, Trauma & Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, and Interventional Pain Medicine.

Dr Muhammad Afzal

Dr. Muhammad Afzal did his Medical Degree in Pakistan in 2000. He completed his training as a family physician in England in 2012 and moved to Canada in the summer of 2014. He has vast experience of working as a family and emergency room physician. He is currently working as a Pain Specialist. His practice is focused on providing holistic and comprehensive care to people suffering from chronic pain, particularly of the spine and joints. This encompasses medical and intervention management like joint and spine injections as well Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. His main interest is in Regeneration Medicine and is ready to provide care to people undergoing pain from various musculoskeletal disorders and injuries including sports injuries. Dr. Muhammad Afzal is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners of the UK (MRCGP) & the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). He has also Credentialed member and has been awarded an Advanced Diploma in Pain Management (Intervention Pain Management) by The Canadian Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Afzal is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Sports & Exercise Medicine.
Dr Saima W Khan

Dr. Saima W. Khan is a devoted and empathetic interventional pain physician who has been serving patients in Ontario since 2018. Known for her comprehensive and patient-focused care, Dr. Khan approaches each patient with exceptional attention and compassion. She is a medical graduate from Pakistan and has received thorough training as both a family physician and pain specialist in Ontario, bringing extensive experience to her role in interventional pain medicine.
Dr. Khan excels in clear communication, ongoing professional development, and maintaining a strong focus on patient-centered care. Her outstanding abilities and dedication have been recognized with the Focused Practice Designation in Interventional Pain by the Ministry of Health Ontario and the Ontario Medical Association. She holds both MD and CCFP titles and an independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Additionally, she is board-certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Khan is skilled in performing a wide range of interventional pain procedures and is committed to continually enhancing the quality of life for her patients.
Dr Ali Alabadi

Dr. Hossein Ali Alabadi is a compassionate and dedicated interventional pain physician who has been practicing in Ontario since 2018. Renowned for his meticulous and patient-centered approach, Dr. Alabadi treats his patients with the utmost care and respect.
A medical graduate of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS) in Iran, Dr. Aliabadi brings a wealth of experience from his diverse medical background in hospitalist in Vancouver, family, and emergency medicine in New Brunswick and Ontario to his interventional pain practice. This extensive experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of various medical conditions and the complexities of pain management, allowing him to offer comprehensive care to his patients.
Dr. Alabadi's main strengths include excellent communication, a commitment to continuous professional development, and a steadfast focus on patient care. His exceptional skills and dedication have earned him the Focused Practice Designation in Interventional Pain, awarded by the Ministry of Health Ontario and the Ontario Medical Association. Holding both MD and CCFP titles, he also possesses an independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
